DESCRIPTION

12       There are two variants of perf kmem:

14           'perf kmem [<options>] record [<perf-record-options>] <command>' to
15           record the kmem events of an arbitrary workload. Additional 'perf
16           record' options may be specified after record, such as '-o' to
17           change the output file name.

19           'perf kmem [<options>] stat' to report kernel memory statistics.

OPTIONS

22       -i <file>, --input=<file>
23           For stat, select the input file (default: perf.data unless stdin is
24           a fifo)

26       -f, --force
27           Don’t do ownership validation

29       -v, --verbose
30           Be more verbose. (show symbol address, etc)

33           Show per-callsite statistics

36           Show per-allocation statistics

38       -s <key[,key2...]>, --sort=<key[,key2...]>
39           Sort the output (default: frag,hit,bytes for slab and bytes,hit for
40           page). Available sort keys are ptr, callsite, bytes, hit, pingpong,
41           frag for slab and page, callsite, bytes, hit, order, migtype, gfp
42           for page. This option should be preceded by one of the mode
43           selection options - i.e. --slab, --page, --alloc and/or --caller.

45       -l <num>, --line=<num>
46           Print n lines only

48       --raw-ip
49           Print raw ip instead of symbol

52           Analyze SLAB allocator events.

58           Show live page stat. The perf kmem shows total allocation stat by
59           default, but this option shows live (currently allocated) pages
60           instead. (This option works with --page option only)

62       --time=<start>,<stop>
63           Only analyze samples within given time window: <start>,<stop>.
64           Times have the format seconds.microseconds. If start is not given
65           (i.e., time string is ,x.y) then analysis starts at the beginning
66           of the file. If stop time is not given (i.e, time string is x.y,)
67           then analysis goes to end of file.
