DESCRIPTION

18       ILTY        (an output variable of type INTEGER) is the type of the
19                   line: 1 => a line separating land from water, 2 => a line
20                   separating one "continent" from another (as, for example,
21                   Africa from Eurasia, North America from Central America, or
22                   Central America from South America), 3 => a line separating
23                   one country from another, 4 => a line separating one state
24                   from another, and 5 => a line separating one county from
25                   another.  If the current line is used on more than one
26                   level (as, for example, a portion of the California
27                   coastline, which is used on all five levels), then the
28                   value of ILTY will be the smallest of the numerical values
29                   that apply.

C-BINDING DESCRIPTION

32       The C-binding argument description is the same as the FORTRAN argument
33       description.

USAGE

36       MPGLTY may be called from within a line-processing routine whose name
37       is used in a call to MPLNDM to retrieve, in ILTY, the type of the line
38       being processed.  This information may be used to determine how the
39       line is to be drawn.
