DESCRIPTION

18       PNAM        (an input expression of type CHARACTER) specifies the name
19                   of the parameter to get. The name must appear as the first
20                   two characters of the string. If the internal parameter is
21                   one of the two (´BC´ and ´CC´) that are arrays, the index
22                   of the desired array element may appear, enclosed in
23                   parentheses, in columns 3 and following. Other characters
24                   may be used to document the use of the parameter being
25                   retrieved; for example, instead of just ´MA´, one can use
26                   ´MA - MAPPING FLAG´ and, instead of ´CC(10)´, one can use
27                   ´CC(10) - SPECIAL COLOR 10´.

29       RVAL        (an output variable of type REAL) is the name of the
30                   variable into which the value of the internal parameter
31                   specified by PNAM is to be retrieved.  If the internal
32                   parameter is a value "r" of type REAL, the value returned
33                   is "r".  If the internal parameter is a value "i" of type
34                   INTEGER, the value returned is "REAL(i)".

37       The C-binding argument descriptions are the same as the FORTRAN
38       argument descriptions.

41       This routine allows you to retrieve the current value of Plotchar
42       parameters.  For a complete list of parameters available in this
43       utility, see the plotchar_params man page.

50       To use PCGETR or c_pcgetr, load the NCAR Graphics libraries ncarg,
