DESCRIPTION

19       append  appends the contains of the chain_list pointed to by pt2 at the
20       end of the one pointed to by pt1.
21       The lists consistency is warranted by the use of the adequat add  func‐
22       tions.

RETURN VALUE

25       append  returns a pointer to the new head of list.  If pt1 is not NULL,
26       it has the value of pt1, else it is pt2.
