6       Dist::Zilla::Plugin::PkgDist - add a $DIST to your packages

DESCRIPTION

12       This plugin will add a line like the following to each package in each
13       Perl module or program (more or less) within the distribution:

15         { our $DIST = 'My-CPAN-Dist'; } # where 'My-CPAN-Dist' is your dist name

17       It will skip any package declaration that includes a newline between
18       the "package" keyword and the package name, like:

21           Foo::Bar;

23       This sort of declaration is also ignored by the CPAN toolchain, and is
24       typically used when doing monkey patching or other tricky things.

PERL VERSION

27       This module should work on any version of perl still receiving updates
28       from the Perl 5 Porters.  This means it should work on any version of
29       perl released in the last two to three years.  (That is, if the most
30       recently released version is v5.40, then this module should work on
31       both v5.40 and v5.38.)

33       Although it may work on older versions of perl, no guarantee is made
34       that the minimum required version will not be increased.  The version
35       may be increased for any reason, and there is no promise that patches
36       will be accepted to lower the minimum required perl.
