12 Conway discourages using "tie" to bind Perl primitive variables to
13 user-defined objects. Unless the tie is done close to where the object
14 is used, other developers probably won't know that the variable has
15 special behavior. If you want to encapsulate complex behavior, just
16 use a proper object or subroutine.
