DESCRIPTION

14       VMA  NVIDIA Messaging Accelerator (VMA) boosts performance for message-
15       based and streaming applications such as those found in financial  ser‐
16       vices  market data environments and Web2.0 clusters. It allows applica‐
17       tion written over standard socket API to run over Ethernet  and/or  In‐
18       finiband  from user-space with full network stack bypass. The result is
19       a reduction in latency by as much as 300%, an increase  in  application
20       throughput by as much as 200%, higher packets rates and better CPU uti‐
21       lization as compared to applications running on  standard  Ethernet  or
22       InfiniBand interconnect networks.
