9       This man page only documents the hardware-specific features of the
10       microsol-apc driver. For information about the core driver, see

SUPPORTED HARDWARE

14       This driver supports the following UPS models:

22       In 2009, Schneider Electric acquired Microsol Technologies, and by
23       2012, the entire Microsol line was being sold under the APC brand. This
24       driver supports these newer, APC-branded models. Older equipment should
25       use solis(8).

EXTRA ARGUMENTS

28       This driver support the following extra optional settings in the
29       ups.conf(5).

31       battext = n - (default = 0, no extra battery, where n = Ampere*hour )

33       prgshut = 1 - (default = 0, no programmable shutdown )

COMMANDS

36       •   shutdown.return - Shut down in .3 minutes and restart in .3 minutes

38       •   shutdown.stayoff - Shut down in .3 minutes and do not return

ISSUES

41       For other APC-Microsol models, the reported voltages, currents and
42       power will be incorrect, as the communication protocol reports
43       unprocessed data instead of real values, needing model-specific
44       post-processing by the driver. Monitoring of UPS state
45       (on-battery/on-line, critical battery) should work for other models,
46       but is untested.
