DESCRIPTION

15       mknetid generates the netid.byname NIS map from the contents of the
16       group(5), passwd(5), hosts(5) and netid files. It checks for multiple
17       entrys of netids and warn for them or filters them out. It is only
18       called by /var/yp/Makefile when rebuilding the NIS map.

OPTIONS

21       -q
22           This flag turns on 'quiet' mode, don't print a warning message when
23           finding an duplicate netid entry.

25       -h hosts
26           The -h flag can be used to specify the use of another hosts file
27           than the default /etc/hosts.

30           The -p flag can be used to specify the use of another passwd file
31           than the default /etc/passwd.

34           The -g flag can be used to specify the use of another group file
35           than the default /etc/group.
