6       htpasswd - manipulate HTTP-server password files

SYNOPSIS

9       htpasswd [-c] passwordfile username

DESCRIPTION

12       Sets  a  user's  password in an httpd-style password file.  The -c flag
13       creates a new file.

16       Rob McCool.  Modified 29aug97 by Jef Poskanzer to accept  new  password
17       on  stdin,  if stdin is a pipe or file.  This is necessary for use from
18       CGI.
