6       fidentify - Determine file type using PhotoRec database

SYNOPSIS

9       fidentify [--check] [directory|file]

DESCRIPTION

15          fidentify identify the file type, the "extension", by using the same
16       database than PhotoRec.
17          When a file or directory is specified,  fidentify  will  output  the
18       type of file, or files under the specified directory.
19          If  given  no  arguments,  fidentify will output type of files under
20       current directory.
21          fidentify is similar to file(1).

OPTIONS

24       --check
25              check the file format like PhotoRec does by default
