12       The gids-tool utility can be used from the command line to perform
13       miscellaneous smart card operations on a GIDS smart card.

OPTIONS

16       -X, --initialize
17           Initialize token.

19       --admin-key argument
20           Define the administrator key

22       --pin pin
23           This option can be used to specify the PIN value on the command
24           line. If the value is set to env:VARIABLE, the value of the
25           specified environment variable is used. By default, the code is
26           prompted on the command line if needed.

28           Note that on most operation systems, any user can display the
29           command line of any process on the system using utilities such as
30           ps(1). Therefore, you should prefer passing the codes via an
31           environment variable on an unsecured system.

33       --serial-number argument
34           Define serial number.

36       -U, --unblock
37           Unblock the user PIN after an administrator authentication.

39       -C, --change-admin-key
40           Change the administrator key.

43           Define the new administrator key.

45       --reader argument, -r argument
46           Number of the reader to use. By default, the first reader with a
47           present card is used. If argument is an ATR, the reader with a
48           matching card will be chosen.
