NAME

6       MPNAME - Given the area identifier of one of the areas defined by
7       whatever database was last read by one of the EZMAPB routines MPLNAM,
8       MPLNDM, MPLNDR, and MPLNRI, this function returns the name of the area.

DESCRIPTION

21       IAIN        is an input expression of type INTEGER, specifying the area
22                   identifier of a particular area of interest.

C-BINDING DESCRIPTION

25       The C-binding argument description is the same as the FORTRAN argument

USAGE

29       Given the declaration "CHARACTER*64 MPNAME,NAME", the executable
30       statement "NAME=MPNAME(IAIN)" will retrieve in NAME the name of the
31       area with area identifier IAIN.  For example, if IMAD is the area
32       identifier of the little island in Lake Superior called "Lake
33       Madeline", then MPNAME(IMAD) = 'Madeline Island (Lake Superior)'.

35       To get the name of the area, at a specified level, that contains an
36       area with a specified area identifier, use MPNAME in combination with
37       MPIOAR.  For example, MPNAME(MPIOAR(IMAD,3)) = 'Conterminous US', and
38       MPNAME(MPIOAR(IMAD,2)) = 'North America'.
