DDEESSCCRRIIPPTTIIOONN

12       The getent program gathers entries from the specified administrative
13       database using the specified search keys.  Where database is one of
14       aliases, ethers, group, hosts, netgroup, networks, passwd, protocols,
15       rpc, services or shadow.
