NAME

6       hal-find-by-capability - find device objects by capability matching

SYNOPSIS

9       hal-find-by-capability [options]

DESCRIPTION

13       hal-get-capability  finds  device  object in the HAL device database by
14       looking at device capabilities. For more information about both the big
15       picture and specific HAL properties, refer to the HAL spec which can be
16       found in /usr/share/doc/hal-0.5.9/spec/hal-spec.html depending  on  the
17       distribution.

OPTIONS

21       The following options are supported:

23       --capability
24              The name of the capability.

26       --verbose
27              Verbose output.

29       --help Print out usage.

32              Print the version.

RETURN VALUE

36       If  devices  matching  the  given capability are found each UDI (Unique
37       Device Identifier) is printed on stdout and the program exits with exit
38       code  0. If no devices are found or an error occured, the program exits
39       with a non-zero exit code.
