DESCRIPTION

15       lpstat displays status information about the current classes, jobs, and
16       printers.  When  run with no arguments, lpstat will list jobs queued by
17       the current user.

OPTIONS

20       The lpstat command supports the following options:

22       -E
23            Forces encryption when connecting to the server.

25       -R
26            Shows the ranking of print jobs.

28       -U username
29            Specifies an alternate username.

31       -W which-jobs
32            Specifies which jobs to  show,  completed  or  not-completed  (the
33            default).  This option must appear before the -o option and/or any
34            printer names, otherwise the default (not-completed) value will be
35            used in the request to the scheduler.

37       -a [printer(s)]
38            Shows  the  accepting  state of printer queues. If no printers are
39            specified then all printers are listed.

41       -c [class(es)]
42            Shows the printer classes and the printers that  belong  to  them.
43            If no classes are specified then all classes are listed.

49            Specifies an alternate server.

66            Shows  a status summary, including the default destination, a list
67            of classes and their member printers, and a list of  printers  and
68            their  associated  devices.  This is equivalent to using the "-d",

72            Shows all status information. This  is  equivalent  to  using  the
73            "-r", "-d", "-c", "-v", "-a", "-p", and "-o" options.

76            Shows  a  list  of print jobs queued by the specified users. If no
77            users are specified, lists the jobs queued by the current user.

80            Shows the printers and what device they are  attached  to.  If  no

COMPATIBILITY

84       Unlike  the System V printing system, CUPS allows printer names to con‐
85       tain any printable character except SPACE, TAB, "/",  and  "#".   Also,
86       printer and class names are not case-sensitive.

88       The "-h", "-E", "-U", and "-W" options are unique to CUPS.

90       The Solaris "-f", "-P", and "-S" options are silently ignored.
