SYNOPSIS

9       sha224sum [OPTION] [FILE]...

DESCRIPTION

12       Print  or check SHA224 (224-bit) checksums.  With no FILE, or when FILE
13       is -, read standard input.

16              read in binary mode

19              read SHA224 sums from the FILEs and check them

24   The following two options are useful only when verifying checksums:

26              don't output anything, status code shows success

29              warn about improperly formatted checksum lines

36       The sums are computed as described in RFC  3874.   When  checking,  the
37       input  should  be a former output of this program.  The default mode is
38       to print a line with checksum, a character  indicating  type  (`*'  for
39       binary, ` ' for text), and name for each FILE.
