NAME

6       MPIOLA - Given the area identifier of one of the areas defined by
7       whatever database was last read by one of the EZMAPB routines MPLNAM,
8       MPLNDM, MPLNDR, and MPLNRI, this function returns the area identifier
9       of the largest area, at a specified level, that contains it.

DESCRIPTION

20       IAIN        is an input expression of type INTEGER, specifying the area
21                   identifier of a particular area of interest.

27       The C-binding argument description is the same as the FORTRAN argument

USAGE

31       The statement "IOLA=MPIOLA(IAIN,ILVL)" retrieves in IOLA the area
32       identifier of the largest area, at level ILVL, that contains the area
33       with area identifier IAIN.  For example, if IMAD is the area identifier
34       of the little island in Lake Superior called "Lake Madeline", then
35       MPIOLA(IMAD,3) is the area identifier of an area called "United
36       States".
