6       tcgetsid - get the process group ID for the session leader for the con‐
7       trolling terminal

DESCRIPTION

16       The tcgetsid() function shall obtain the process group ID of  the  ses‐
17       sion for which the terminal specified by fildes is the controlling ter‐
18       minal.

RETURN VALUE

21       Upon successful completion, tcgetsid() shall return the  process  group
22       ID  associated with the terminal. Otherwise, a value of (pid_t)-1 shall
23       be returned and errno set to indicate the error.

26       The tcgetsid() function shall fail if:

28       EBADF  The fildes argument is not a valid file descriptor.

30       ENOTTY The calling process does not have a controlling terminal, or the
31              file is not the controlling terminal.
