DECSRIPTION

12       tally.control  is  normally invoked by scanlogs(8).  It reads its stan‐
13       dard input, which should be the newgroup.log and rmgroup.log log files.
14       It  updates  the  cumulative list of newsgroup creations and deletions,
15       control.log.
