DESCRIPTION

12       Normally      the      Kaya      garbage      collector     (     libgc
13       ⟨http://www.hpl.hp.com/personal/Hans_Boehm/gc/⟩ )  runs  in  the  back‐
14       ground  at  appropriate  times.  Occasionally, it may be appropriate to
15       garbage-collect immediately. Heavy use of this function carries a  high
16       cost in program execution time.
