6       tzselect - select a timezone

SYNOPSIS

9       tzselect

DESCRIPTION

12       The  tzselect  program  asks the user for information about the current
13       location, and outputs the resulting timezone  description  to  standard
14       output.  The output is suitable as a value for the TZ environment vari‐
15       able.

17       All interaction with the user is done via standard input  and  standard
18       error.

EXIT STATUS

21       The  exit  status  is zero if a timezone was successfully obtained from
22       the user, nonzero otherwise.

ENVIRONMENT

25       AWK    Name of a Posix-compliant awk program (default: awk).

27       TZDIR  Name of the directory containing timezone data  files  (default:
28              /usr/share/zoneinfo).
