9       wcshead [-hrtvsz] FITS or IRAF file(s)

Description

12       wcshead  is a utility for printing the world coordinate system informa‐
13       tion in IRAF and FITS image headers. It converts IRAF .imh image  head‐
14       ers  to FITS format before extracting the information.  For IRAF files,
15       the image dimensions and the object name are set from the  binary  por‐
16       tion of the header.

Options

19       -h     Print CRVALs as hh:mm:ss and dd:mm:ss instead of degrees

21       -r     Print first dimension as rest wavelength limiting values

23       -t     Print tab-separated table output, with headers

25       -v     Print more intermediate information for debugging

27       -w     Print only first dimension limiting values (wavelength for spec‐
28              tra)

30       -z     Use AIPS classic projections instead of WCSLIB
