NAME

      nbd_aio_connect_uri - connect to an NBD URI

SYNOPSIS

       #include <libnbd.h>

       int nbd_aio_connect_uri (struct nbd_handle *h,
                                const char *uri);

DESCRIPTION

      Begin connecting to the NBD URI "uri". Parameters behave as documented
      in nbd_connect_uri(3).

      You can check if the connection is still connecting by calling
      nbd_aio_is_connecting(3), or if it has connected to the server and
      completed the NBD handshake by calling nbd_aio_is_ready(3), on the
      connection.

RETURN VALUE

      If the call is successful the function returns 0.

ERRORS

      On error "-1" is returned.

      Refer to "ERROR HANDLING" in libnbd(3) for how to get further details
      of the error.

HANDLE STATE

      The handle must be newly created, otherwise this call will return an
      error.

VERSION

      This function first appeared in libnbd 1.0.

      If you need to test if this function is available at compile time check
      if the following macro is defined:

       #define LIBNBD_HAVE_NBD_AIO_CONNECT_URI 1
