NAME

6       interaggregate  -  Visualize  the momentary and aggregate intersections

DESCRIPTION

16       The  Intersection  Aggregate  is a fun visualization defining the rela‐
17       tionships between objects with Casey Reas,  William  Ngan,  and  Robert
18       Hodgin. Commissioned for display at the Whitney Museum of American Art.

20       A  surface  filled  with 100 medium to small sized circles. Each circle
21       has a different size and direction, but moves at the  same  slow  rate.

24           A. The instantaneous intersections of the circles.
25           B. The aggregate intersections of the circles.

OPTIONS

31       interaggregate accepts the following options:

33       -num-circles disc count (Default: 100)
34               Number of slowly moving and growing discs  to  use.   The  more
35               discs, the more CPU power.

37       -growth-delay delayms (Default: 18000)
38               Delay  in  ms  between drawing cycles.  More delay, slower (but
39               smoother and less CPU intensive.)  art.

41       -fps    Display the current frame rate and CPU load.

ENVIRONMENT

44       DISPLAY to get the default host and display number.

47               to get the name of a resource file that  overrides  the  global
48               resources stored in the RESOURCE_MANAGER property.

53       Setting the background to anything besides black confuses the intensity
54               algorithm and will look terrible.
