12 This manual page explains the Debian package angband . Angband is a
13 single-player, graphical dungeon adventure game using textual charac‐
14 ters to represent the walls and floors of a dungeon and the inhabitants
15 therein, in the vein of rogue, hack, nethack, and moria. Angband 4.2.4
16 is an official stable release incorporating all the changes and im‐
17 provements added since the last official stable release ( Angband
18 4.2.3).

20 This version of Angband has been compiled with ncurses and the X Win‐
21 dowing system and SDL and SDL2 front-ends, and hence can be played on a
22 virtual console as well as under X. In the latter cases, the game can
23 use multiple windows.

40 To start with, you can just say angband -uTest, and that creates a save
41 file with the file name ~/.angband/Angband/save/<UID>.Test. The best
42 place to get help is the program itself; help is reached by the command
43 ? and presents a menu of choices.
