6       issue - pre-login message and identification file

DESCRIPTION

9       The  file  /etc/issue is a text file which contains a message or system
10       identification to be printed before the login prompt.  It  may  contain
11       various  @char and \char sequences, if supported by the getty-type pro‐
12       gram employed on the system.
