DESCRIPTION

15       This manual page documents briefly the pioneers command.

17       Pioneers is a computerized version of a well known strategy board game.
18       The  goal  of  the  game is to colonize an island. The players play the
19       first colonists hence the name pioneers. It uses a client/server  model
20       for  networked play of between two and eight players.  You will need to
21       connect to a machine running either  pioneers-server-gtk  or  pioneers-
22       server-console to play.  An AI client, pioneersai, is also available.

OPTIONS

26       Pioneers  accepts  the standard GTK+/GNOME commandline options, and the

39       When the options are provided, the client automatically quits when  the
40       connection is broken.

ENVIRONMENT

44       The  default  settings can be influenced with the following environment

47       PIONEERS_META_SERVER
48              The hostname of the meta-server.  If it is not set, the  default
49              meta-server will be used.

DEVELOPERS AND TRANSLATORS

53       With  the commandline option --language code the values of the environ‐
54       ment variables LANGUAGE and LC_ALL can be overriden. The code should be
55       one of the 2-letter language code pioneers understands.
