NAME

6       update-pciids - download new version of the PCI ID list

SYNOPSIS

10       update-pciids

DESCRIPTION

14       update-pciids  fetches the current version of the pci.ids file from the
15       primary distribution site and installs it.

17       This utility requires curl, wget or lynx to be installed.  If  gzip  or
18       bzip2  are available, it automatically downloads the compressed version
19       of the list.

FILES

23       /usr/share/hwdata/pci.ids
24              Here we install the new list.
