DESCRIPTION

25       This function will return the X.509 certificate's serial number.   This
26       is  obtained  by the X509 Certificate serialNumber field. Serial is not
27       always a 32 or 64bit number. Some CAs use large serial numbers, thus it
28       may be wise to handle it as something opaque.

RETURNS

31       On  success,  GNUTLS_E_SUCCESS  is returned, otherwise a negative error
32       value.
