NAME

6 gnutls_x509_dn_oid_known - API function
7

SYNOPSIS

9 #include <gnutls/x509.h>
10
11       int gnutls_x509_dn_oid_known(const char * oid);
12

ARGUMENTS

14 const char * oid
15 holds an Object Identifier in a null terminated string
16

DESCRIPTION

18 This function will inform about known DN OIDs. This is useful since
19 functions like gnutls_x509_crt_set_dn_by_oid() use the information on
20 known OIDs to properly encode their input. Object Identifiers that are
21 not known are not encoded by these functions, and their input is stored
22 directly into the ASN.1 structure. In that case of unknown OIDs, you
23 have the responsibility of DER encoding your data.
24

RETURNS

26 1 on known OIDs and 0 otherwise.
