DESCRIPTION

14       TIFFFieldPassCount  returns true (nonzero) if TIFFGetField and TIFFSet‐
15       Field expect a count value to be passed before the actual data pointer.

17       fip is a field information pointer  previously  returned  by  TIFFFind‐
18       Field, TIFFFieldWithTag, or TIFFFieldWithName.

20       When a count is required, it will be of type uint32 when TIFFFieldRead‐
21       Count reports TIFF_VARIABLE2, and of type uint16 otherwise.  (This dis‐
22       tinction  is  critical for use of TIFFGetField, but normally not so for
23       use of TIFFSetField.)

RETURN VALUES

26       TIFFFieldPassCount returns an integer that is  always  1  (true)  or  0
