12       This manual page documents the gif2webp command.

14       gif2webp converts a GIF image to a WebP image.

OPTIONS

17       The basic options are:

19       -o string
20              Specify  the  name of the output WebP file. If omitted, gif2webp
21              will perform conversion but only report statistics.

27              Print the version number (as major.minor.revision) and exit.

29       -lossy Encode the image using lossy compression.

31       -q float
32              Specify the compression factor for RGB channels  between  0  and
33              100. The default is 75.
34              In  case  of  lossless  compression  (default),  a  small factor
35              enables faster compression speed, but produces  a  larger  file.
36              Maximum compression is achieved by using a value of 100.
37              In case of lossy compression (specified by the -lossy option), a
38              small factor produces a smaller file with  lower  quality.  Best
39              quality is achieved by using a value of 100.

41       -m int Specify  the  compression method to use. This parameter controls
42              the trade off between encoding speed  and  the  compressed  file
43              size  and  quality.   Possible values range from 0 to 6. Default
44              value is 4.  When higher values are used, the encoder will spend
45              more  time  inspecting  additional  encoding  possibilities  and
46              decide on the quality gain.  Lower value can  result  is  faster
47              processing  time  at  the  expense of larger file size and lower
48              compression quality.

50       -f int For lossy encoding only (specified by the -lossy option).  Spec‐
51              ify the strength of the deblocking filter, between 0 (no filter‐
52              ing) and 100 (maximum filtering).  A value of 0  will  turn  off
53              any  filtering.  Higher  value will increase the strength of the
54              filtering process applied after decoding the picture. The higher
55              the  value  the smoother the picture will appear. Typical values
56              are usually in the range of 20 to 50.

58       -v     Print extra information.

60       -quiet Do not print anything.
