SYNOPSIS

9       icqpr  [-d] [-l[[@]logfile]] [-iinternal_ip] [-eexternal_ip] local_port

DESCRIPTION

13       icqpr forwards ICQ connections from local  to  remote  ICQ  host.  Most
14       usual  is  icqpr  5190  login.icq.com  5190  Also, icqpr adds UIN / AOL
15       screen name as a username. It  makes  it  possible  to  control  user's
16       access to ICQ/AOL by UIN/screen name (use auth useronly in 3proxy).

OPTIONS

19       -I     Inetd mode. Standalone service only.

21       -d     Daemonise.  Detach  service  from  console  and run in the back‐
22              ground.

24       -t     Be silenT. Do not log start/stop/accept error records.

26       -e     External address. IP address of interface proxy should  initiate
27              connections  from.   By default system will deside which address
28              to use in accordance with routing table.

30       -i     Internal address. IP address proxy accepts connections  to.   By
31              default  connection  to  any interface is accepted. It´s usually
32              unsafe.

34       -l     Log. By default logging is to stdout. If  logfile  is  specified
35              logging  is to file. Under Unix, if ´@´ preceeds logfile, syslog
36              is used for logging.

CLIENTS

49       You can use any ICQ/AOL client where server  address  configuration  is
50       supported  or  spoof  login  server  name  (e.g. login.icq.com) with IP
51       address of proxy server via DNS record or hosts file. Transparent redi‐
52       rection  is also possible. Use internal_ip and local_port as a destina‐
53       tion   in   client   application.   Connection    is    forwarded    to
54       remote_host:remote_port
