DESCRIPTION

14       The explain_gettimeofday_or_die function is used to call the gettimeof‐
15       day(2)  system  call.   On  failure  an  explanation will be printed to
16       stderr, obtained from explain_gettimeofday(3),  and  then  the  process
17       terminates by calling exit(EXIT_FAILURE).

19       This  function  is intended to be used in a fashion similar to the fol‐
20       lowing example:
21              explain_gettimeofday_or_die(tv, tz);

23       tv      The tv, exactly as to be passed to the  gettimeofday(2)  system
24               call.

26       tz      The  tz,  exactly as to be passed to the gettimeofday(2) system
27               call.

29       Returns:
30               This function only returns on success.  On failure,  prints  an
31               explanation and exits.
