NAME

13 timer_delete — delete a per-process timer
14

SYNOPSIS

16 #include <time.h>
17
18       int timer_delete(timer_t timerid);
19

DESCRIPTION

21 The timer_delete() function deletes the specified timer, timerid, pre‐
22 viously created by the timer_create() function. If the timer is armed
23 when timer_delete() is called, the behavior shall be as if the timer is
24 automatically disarmed before removal. The disposition of pending sig‐
25 nals for the deleted timer is unspecified.
26

RETURN VALUE

28 If successful, the timer_delete() function shall return a value of
29 zero. Otherwise, the function shall return a value of −1 and set errno
30 to indicate the error.
31

ERRORS

33 The timer_delete() function may fail if:
34
35 EINVAL The timer ID specified by timerid is not a valid timer ID.
