6       hunzip - compress and encrypt dictionary files

9       hzip [-h] [-P password] [file(s)]

DESCRIPTION

12       hunzip  is  a  small  utility for text file compression and encryption,
13       especially for sorted dictionaries.  "hunspell  filename"  creates  the
14       compressed file "filename.hz" without removing the original file.

16       The  compression  algorithm  uses 16-bit Huffman encoding and line-ori‐
17       ented prefix-suffix compression. It has good compression ratio for huge
18       sorted word lists.

OPTIONS

21       -h     Display short help description.

23       -P password
24              Encrypted compression by an arbitrary length password.
