NAME

6       era_invalidate  -  Provide  a  list of blocks that have changed since a

10       era_invalidate [options] {device|file}

DESCRIPTION

13       era_invalidate examines era metadata and lists  blocks  that  may  have
14       changed since a given era.

16       This  tool  cannot  be  run on live metadata unless the --metadata-snap
17       option is used.

OPTIONS

20       -h, --help
21              Print help and exit.

24              Print version information and exit.

27              Write output to a file rather than stdout.

29       --metadata-snapshot
30              Use the metadata snapshot rather than the current superblock.

33              Blocks written since the given era will be listed.

EXAMPLE

36       List the blocks that may have been written since the beginning  of  era
37       13 on the metadata device /dev/vg/metadata:

41       The device may not be actively used by the target when running.

DIAGNOSTICS

44       era_invalidate  returns  an  exit  code of 0 for success or 1 for error
45       (eg, metadata corruption).
