NAME

6       pvfs2-ping - Check if all servers in a PVFS2 volume are running

SYNOPSIS

9       pvfs2-ping -m MOUNTPOINT

DESCRIPTION

13       Check  if  all  servers  in the PVFS2 volume at MOUNTPOINT are running.
14       pvfs2-ping will go through several phases
15       Checking pvfstab
16              finds the first pvfs2tab file according to the usual  rules  and
17              displays  the  initial  server,  the storage name, and the local
18              mount point.
19       Initialization
20              talks to the initial server and gets PVFS2 configuration  infor‐
21              mation.  Displays the meta servers and the data servers, as well
22              as on which port they are running
23       Verify Response
24              verifies all servers in the PVFS2 volume respond to requests
25       Identifier Consistency
26              Makes sure all servers agree that the file-system identifier for
27              the filesystem is the same on all servers
28       Root Handle Check
29              Makes sure that only one server owns the file system's root han‐
30              dle

34       -m     Display information about the volume and servers at mount_point

39              If set, the full pathname for an alternate pvfs2tab file
