DESCRIPTION

14       Returns  a human readable string with the version number of libcurl and
15       some of its important components (like OpenSSL version).

17       We recommend using curl_version_info(3) instead!

RETURN VALUE

20       A pointer to a null-terminated string. The string resides in  a  stati‐
21       cally allocated buffer and must not be freed by the caller.
