DESCRIPTION

15       The slip program does lots of blits and chews up an image.

17       The image that it manipulates will be grabbed from the portion  of  the
18       screen underlying the window, or from the system's video input, or from
19       a random file on disk, as indicated by the grabDesktopImages, grabVide‐
20       oFrames,  and  chooseRandomImages  options in the ~/.xscreensaver file;
21       see xscreensaver-settings(1) for more details.

OPTIONS

24       slip accepts the following options:

26       --window
27               Draw on a newly-created window.  This is the default.

29       --root  Draw on the root window.

31       --window-id number
32               Draw on the specified window.

34       --mono  If on a color display, pretend we're on a monochrome display.

37               Install a private colormap for the window.

39       --visual visual
40               Specify which visual to use.  Legal values are the  name  of  a
41               visual  class,  or the id number (decimal or hex) of a specific
42               visual.

44       --ncolors integer
45               How many colors should be used  (if  possible).   Default  200.
46               The  colors  used  cycle through the hue, making N stops around
47               the color wheel.

50               How many whooziwhatsis to generate.  Default 35.

53               How long to frobnicate.  Default 50.

56               How long we should wait between  drawing  each  step.   Default
57               50000, or about 1/20th second.
