TOPCOM - triangulations of point configurations and oriented matroids

TOPCOM programs share a command-line parsing library. Therefore, all
TOPCOM programs accept the following options. Note that some options
are not relevant to all TOPCOM programs.

Options concerning shell output:

-h, --help
summarize the program options.

-v write verbose information to stderr.

--reportfrequency [N]
report every Nth new triangulation.

-d write debug information to stderr.

--heights
write height vectors for triangulations to stdout (implies
--regular).

--flips
write flips as pairs of triangulation IDs to stdout.

Options for checking input:

--checktriang
check any given triangulations for correctness.

Options for reporting properties of discovered triangulations:

--flipdeficiency
report flip deficiency in triangulations to stderr.

--checkfrequency [N]
check for regularity every Nth triangulation and exit if regu‐
lar.

Options concerning which triangulations are output (no influence on ex‐
ploration):

--cardinality [N]
count/output only triangulations of cardinality N.

--nonregular
count/output only non-regular triangulations.

Options concerning which triangulations are explored:

--regular
consider only regular triangulations.

--noinsertion
never use a point that is unused in the seed triangulation.

--reducepoints
try to remove the number of use points, reported to stderr.

--keepcard
never change the cardinality of triangulations by flipping.

Options concerning symmetries:

--affine
assume that given symmetries are affine.

--nosymmetries
ignore symmetries.

Options for dumping and reading the status of an interrupted computa‐
tion:

--dump dump status of previous computation (last completed BFS round)
into file.

--dumpfile [FILENAME]
set dump file name to FILENAME (default: "TOPCOM.dump").

--dumpfrequency [N]
dump each Nth completed BFS round (default: 1).

--dumprotations [N]
dump into N rotating files.

--read read status of previous computation (last completed BFS round)
from file.

--readfile [FILENAME]
set dump file name to read to FILENAME (default: "TOPCOM.dump").

Options concerning internal behaviour:

--memopt
try to reduce memory consumption.

--chirocache [N]
set the chirotope cache to N elements.

--localcache [N]
set the cache for local data to N elements.

--soplex
use soplex for regularity checks. Note that soplex is not
available from Fedora due to its non-free license.
