NAME

6       sgmlcheck - check the syntax of an LinuxDoc DTD sgml source file

SYNOPSIS

9       sgmlcheck file[.sgml]

DESCRIPTION

12       sgmlcheck  is an old and obsoleted form of the SGML source checker com‐
13       mand of LinuxDoc-Tools.  It is recommended to switch the new form  lin‐
14       uxdoc  -B  check  now.  It runs an SGML parse on the specified document
15       source.  Any errors are reported to standard output.  No formatted ver‐
16       sion of the source is produced.

18       Note  that  sgmlcheck  preprocesses the LinuxDoc DTD SGML source, doing
19       the   conditionalization   described    by    any    <#if></#if>    and
20       <#unless></#unless>  tags.  Document sources containing these tags will
21       confuse a standalone SGML parser.

OPTIONS

24       None.  The generic options described in linuxdoc(1) are  accepted,  but
25       have no effect (except for -D).

FILES

28       Many  files  and  executables in /usr/share/linuxdoc-tools and /usr/bin
29       are used.
