NAME

6       gvfsd-metadata - Metadata daemon for gvfs

9       gvfs-metadata [OPTION...]

DESCRIPTION

12       gvfsd-metadata is a daemon acting as a write serialiser to the internal
13       gvfs metadata storage. It is autostarted by GIO clients when they make
14       metadata changes. Read operations are done by client-side GIO code
15       directly, and don't require the daemon to be running.

17       The gvfs metadata capabilities are used by the nautilus file manager,
18       for example.

OPTIONS

21       -h, --help
22           Prints a short help text and exits.

25           Shows the version number and exits.

27       -r, --replace
28           Replace the currently running instance.

EXIT STATUS

31       On success 0 is returned, a non-zero failure code otherwise.
