DESCRIPTION

16       update-mime-database is an program which is  responsible  for  updating
17       the  shared  mime-info  cache  according to the system described in the
18       Shared           MIME-Info            Database            specification
19       ⟨http://www.freedesktop.org/standards/shared-mime-info.html⟩ from the X
20       Desktop Group.

OPTIONS

24       -h     Print out a command summary.

ARGUMENTS

32       MIME-DIR
33              This is the  directory  for  which  update-mime-database  should
34              rebuild the cache. Mandatory if none of the options is provided.
