NAME

6 MB_CUR_MAX - maximum length of a multibyte character in the current
7       locale
8

SYNOPSIS

10       #include <stdlib.h>
11

DESCRIPTION

13 The MB_CUR_MAX macro defines an integer expression giving the maximum
14 number of bytes needed to represent a single wide character in the cur‐
15 rent locale. It is locale dependent and therefore not a compile-time
16       constant.
17

RETURN VALUE

19       An  integer  >=  1  and <= MB_LEN_MAX.  The value 1 denotes traditional
20       8-bit encoded characters.
21

CONFORMING TO

23       C99, POSIX.1-2001.
