DESCRIPTION

12       This file allows you to define new ACTIONS for use in rules (see shore‐
13       wall-rules(5) ⟨shorewall-rules.html⟩ ). You define the  iptables  rules
14       to be performed in an ACTION in /etc/shorewall/action.action-name.

16       ACTION names should begin with an upper-case letter to distinguish them
17       from Shorewall-generated chain names and they must  meet  the  require‐
18       ments  of  a Netfilter chain. If you intend to log from the action then
19       the name must be no longer than 11 characters in length. Names must al‐
20       so meet the requirements for a Bourne Shell identifier (must begin with
21       a letter and be composed of letters, digits and underscore characters).
