6       faillog - login failure logging file

DESCRIPTION

9       /var/log/faillog maintains a count of login failures and the limits for
10       each account. The file is fixed length record, indexed by numerical
11       UID. Each record contains the count of login failures since the last
12       successful login; the maximum number of failures before the account is
13       disabled; the line the last login failure occurred on; the date the
14       last login failure occurred; and the time in seconds how long the
15       account will be locked after a failure.
