6       issue - issue identification file

DESCRIPTION

9       The  file /etc/issue contains the issue or project identification to be
10       printed as a login prompt. issue is an ASCII file that is read by  pro‐
11       gram  ttymon  and  then  written  to any terminal spawned or respawned,
12       prior to the normal prompt.
