6 sync - update the super block

13 sync executes the sync system primitive. If the system is to be
14 stopped, sync must be called to ensure file system integrity. It will
15 flush all previously unwritten system buffers out to disk, thus assur‐
16 ing that all file modifications up to that point will be saved. See
